In dye sublimation printing, you cannot print graphics directly onto the fabric material. Please note that this type of printing is applicable only on fabric items made from polyester or those treated with polymers.

The paper that is suitable for this type of print method is the dye sublimation transfer paper. Others would refer to it as the heat transfer paper. This paper is designed to accept the CMYO dyes which stands for cyan-magenta-yellow-black overprint. The paper is run through pressure and heat with temperature up to 400 Fahrenheit. 

As it undergoes through heat and pressure, the dyes are converted into gaseous state and the (polymers') pores in the fabric opens. The gaseous state of the dyes fill into the opened pores. Once the temperature goes down and the fabric cools down...
